But for those with relatives in federal prison, the transfer of funds can be a more complex problem.
People outside the federal prison are able to send money to family and friends in a federal prison in three different ways: the US mail, son and MoneyGram money. Although the focus of US Mail is perhaps the simplest and least expensive, none of the three methods of money transfer is as easy as one might expect or hope.
DEPOSIT FUND BY MAIL US
Trust Fund by mail from the United States is the slowest, however, the less expensive and easier to finance the trust account funds from a federal prisoner. To fund the trust account funds from a federal prisoner, the sender has to send a US Treasury, state or local government checks, US postal order or negotiable instrument abroad for:
